What happens when the sync fails

  1. Capture is one write. The record, its photo and its signature land in a single durable write. A dead battery mid-save cannot split a record from its media.
  2. Nothing leaves the queue early. The envelope is removed only after the server acknowledges it; otherwise it stays queued with an attempt count and a retry time.
  3. The replay is a log. Queued, retry-scheduled, synced, refused — each capture carries its own timeline, and the operator dashboard shows it.
  4. A refusal is visible and recoverable. If the model refuses a record (say, more chemical than the truck carries), the whole payload is archived with the reason, so the tech's afternoon of work is never silently discarded.
